INSPIRADA

The newest community in Henderson embraces "new urbanism". With 1940 acres to develop, Inspirada is projected to have 11,500 homes with a population of 22,446 at build-out. As of April 1, 2008 only 109 homes had been built in Inspirada. It is an exciting project, but the build out for the community is likely to be slowed by the current economy.

Builders include KB Homes which is doing moderately priced homes as well as venturing into homes that are more upgraded. Meritage Homes is building both townhomes and single family residences. Toll Brothers has several communities spanning many price ranges, including condos and three floor townhomes as well as their larger, high end homes. The Toll Bros. community will be guard gated with a community pool.

The entire community is designed to encourage walking. All homes will be within walking distance of a coffee shop, deli, etc. The first community pool has been completed. Parks are planned to create wide open spaces for outdoor activities. Many of the homes feature parking garages that are entered through an alley, leaving the front of the homes with space for porches where home-owners can sit and chat with the neighbors who are passing.
