LAKE LAS VEGAS

Ground was broken for the Lake Las Vegas community in 1987 with the commencement of the dam's construction. In the years since then, the 2242 acres that contain Lake Las Vegas have been developed to include two AAA Four Diamond resorts: the Ritz Carlton and Loews, for entertainment, there is the MonteLago Casino which offers slots machines, table games, theatres and restaurants.

During the summer, Lake Las Vegas offers concerts on the Lake featuring such artists as Michael Bolton where attendees are encouraged to bring blankets and picnics to enjoy the music under the stars. The MonteLago Village has wonderful restaurants and shops. Stop into Auld Dubliner for a pint and a chat with your neighbor or an international visitor staying at one of the resorts. Or enjoy a lakeside meal at Bistro Zinc for fresh seafood or Luna Rossa for Italian. Watercraft rentals and yacht cruises are available as well. In the winter months, a rink is installed at the edge of the lake for ice-skating. After enjoying the ice, visit Santa by the tall Christmas tree at the edge of the village and the Ritz Carlton. For those who like to swing the clubs, there are three courses inside the community.

Lake Las Vegas has formed a partnership with Outside Las Vegas Foundation and five other federal land management agencies. The goal is to protect the park lands surrounding the community, including the Lake Mead National park. With waterfalls running through the community, beautifully manicured golf courses and spectacular homes, it is no surprise that celebrities such as Celine Dion have chosen the Lake Las Vegas lifestyle.
